Flying

We have made some wonderful friends through the Knights of Columbus.  Jean Ann & Chris are two that Ed & I met when Eddie was a baby.  They are such thoughtful & gracious people.  We love getting to spend time with them & the boys love them.
Recently, they flew into Austin Executive Airport for some meetings & we were lucky enough to pick them up & take them back to their plane when they left.  (Chris has his pilot's license & they flew in on their small plane...easier 3 hour flight over a 9 hour drive).  For the boys, it was a fantastic experience to "play" pilot in their plane as they were getting ready to leave...

Hmmm....

I keep thinking about my blog....and thinking....and wondering....what do I want to do???  Where is my focus?? I know I ask this one a lot.  Maybe because I really don't feel like I have focus in my life right now.....hmmm....

Liam graduated from pre-school at our church last night....where I've been teaching for the last 2 1/2 years.  Pretty sure I will leave that chapter as he moves to Kinder next year.  There is still something that I might apply for, but it is looking unlikely that is would be a possibility at this point.

So, boys will be in Kinder & 2nd....what's a mom to do?  Substitute?  That's the likely scenario.  I love teaching, but I know that I am not ready to go back into a middle or high school classroom at this point.  There would be a learning curve for the standards for the new tests....I've been out of the classroom for 7 years....and I'm not ready to bring all of that planning & grading home.  I don't know if I could juggle all of the chaos that would entail.  I know that so many do it & have done it for years, but I'm not ready.

I keep applying for all sorts of blogging things that "might" pay some, but I haven't gotten anything....probably because I can't  seem to stick with this.  I like to write, but I'm not the best wordsmith & tend to rush through things....lol....always something I would warn my students about....good teacher but not a good student.

Are there any jobs out there 8-2 that pay well & you don't have to bring home much?  Ideas anyone?  Plus, I need to do laundry, run errands, exercise & spend time with some friends during some of that time.

Hmmmm....NOT going to happen.  Guess I will keep buying scratch offs & a lotto ticket here & there. ;)
